Michael A. Bellavance, 24, of Fall River, formerly of Wareham, died Jan. 29.

He was born in Boston and lived in Wareham and Taunton before moving to Fall River. He graduated from Taunton High School and Trundy Institute in New Bedford.

Michael worked as a technician for Comcast Company. Previously, he worked as a substance abuse counselor at Bridgewater State Hospital.

He loved being a father and the time he spent with his daughter. He enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Melanie Ferreira of Fall River; his daughter, Liliana Bellavance of Fall River; his father and stepmother, Peter DeRienzo and Karen Braga of Taunton; his mother, Danielle J. Bellavance of Norton; a brother, Noah Whitten of Norton; a stepsister, Briana Braga of Taunton; a stepbrother, Dennis Braga of Norton; his grandmothers, Jane Caswell of Wareham and Sally Corrigan of Brewster; a grandfather, Joseph Bellavance of Mansfield; a step grandfather, Stuart Goodchild of Seekonk; his aunts and uncles, Julie Goodwin, Beth McMullen, Heather, Matt and Adam Goodchild, Robert Lombardi, and Adam DeRienzo.

Visiting hours are from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham, followed by a funeral service will be at 2 p.m.
