Apr 7, 2020

Michael Patrick Gorman, 40, formerly of Wareham, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2020 from sleep apnea. Mike was born in Torrance, CA to Paul and Kristine Gorman. He was predeceased by his father in 2008. Michael leaves his stepfather and mother, Ernie and Kris Bourgeois; his brother, Geoffrey P. Gorman; his beloved daughter, Violet Harper Gorman, Violet’s mother, Katy Whittingham; his partner, Laura MacConaill, her daughter, Olivia Kelly Smith, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Michael was a talented photographer and drummer and had a love for music and New England sports that will live on through his daughter, family, and friends.

The following are a few words from his seven-year-old daughter: My daddy’s name was Michael, and he liked the color blue. I love him. He liked the Patriots and the Red Sox. He called me baby, Lovebug, and Violet Harper Gorman. Sometimes when he laughed, he went “he, he, he.” He liked to play dolls with me, go to the playground, go to baseball games, and snuggle me. He went to get Honey, my sleep bunny, when I left her. I was his whole heart. He liked to eat sushi and Chinese food when he ordered it. He liked to listen to music in his car. He told me he loved me a lot, and he did love me a lot. He liked Christmas and my birthday, and we went shopping for toys, ate pizza at Papa Gino’s, and got ice cream together. He took me trick or treating on Halloween. He was tall and handsome, and I miss him, but he is watching over me with angel wings that he got.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating toward a trust for his beloved daughter and sending wishes to her , Violet Gorman, 9981 S. Mumford Drive, Sandy, UT 84094 and also his partner, Laura MacConaill, 22 Whiton Court, Hanover, MA 02339.
