A 61-year-old Middleboro man was seriously injured Sunday night in an accident involving a motorcycle and a car on County Road in West Wareham, according to Wareham Police.

Police said Stephen G. Wibben, who was driving the motorcycle, suffered serious injuries to his arms, legs, and head. The driver of the car, David Shea, 37, of Wareham, and the two passengers of the car did not report any injuries, but there was extensive damage to the passenger’s side door.

A MedFlight helicopter transported Wibben to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. Police said he is in stable condition.

Shea was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic after investigation showed that he turned left in front of the oncoming motorcycle.
