Motorcyclist killed in Route 25 crash
A 57-year-old Plymouth man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle on Route 25 just after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
An investigation by Trooper Kris Bohnenberger indicated that the man, Robert O. Bryant, who was riding a 2005 Harley Davidson FXD motorcycle, was traveling in the far right lane of the highway when he lost control of his motorcycle and dropped the bike, according to police.
The motorcycle slid for more than 300 feet before coming to a stop. The operator was transported to Tobey Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation State Police. Troopers were assisted by the Wareham Fire Department and the Department of Transportation Highway Division.
The investigation of the crash closed the far right and center travel lanes for roughly two hours.
The crash was the second of two fatalities on Wareham highways Tuesday. Robert A. Alves, 67, of Mattapoisett was killed when the vehicle he was driving crashed into the woods in the median strip of Route 195 on just after 1 p.m.
