Curious about the construction near Town Hall?
National Grid is replacing gas mains on Marion Road and Burr Parkway, according to National Grid Spokesperson Charlotte McCormack.
The construction began on November 27.
"It’s probably going to take about 30 days to complete the job, but they’re not working the weeks of Christmas and New Years," McCormack said.
According to McCormack, the installation of new gas mains is “part of our normal infrastructure upgrade.”
Construction takes place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays. Cars traveling east on Marion Road are being rerouted down Viking Drive, then through the Town Hall parking lot and back to Marion Road.
