New additions coming to Garden Club's Christmas Faire
Tis’ the season for fairs, and the Wareham Garden Club’s annual holiday faire will take place Saturday, December 7, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the First Congregational Church’s Fellowship Hall, located at 5 Gibbs Avenue.
“Christmas in the Village” will stage themed “shops” including a Village Tea Room offering scones, a village bake shop and a village candy store. Additionally, the traditional homemade boxwood “trees”, decorated green wreaths and an assorted abundance of holiday items, all handmade by club members.
New this year will be twig wreaths, limited edition Christmas mice and the most practical bird feeders you’ve ever seen!
There will be a large assortment of gifts perfect for teachers and others who you want to show your appreciation for this time of year. The infamous homemade Christmas cookies will again be offered for all to fill cans with their own picks.
Also new this year will be a project for children to make and take home Christmas surprises for all ages. Additionally, the club will be offering new, complimentary 5x7 holiday photographs for families.
The club is excited to offer a “preview” on Friday night, December 6, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. when shoppers will be able to purchase assorted bundles of greens and some limited gift items.
The Wareham Garden Club’s fundraiser’s help support their numerous civic commitments and funds their annual scholarships to local deserving students. The Wareham Garden Club encourages new members to join.
