Nine Wareham firefighters graduate from academy
Nine Wareham Recruit Firefighters have graduated from the Massachusetts Call/Volunteer Firefighter Training Program.
The firefighters have completed 240 hours of training and graduated Monday night in a ceremony at Bridgewater State University.
Wareham’s graduates are Mason Freitas, Wilfred Ouellette III, Savannah Kelley, Paul Santos Jr., Ryan Langlois, Andrew Sargood, Hunter LaRochelle, Marque Silva and James Tokarz.
Kelley served as co-president for the class.
“First responders are on the front lines of any crisis and these newest firefighters are needed now more than ever,” said Deputy State Fire Marshal Fournier in a press release. “The rigorous training they’ve completed provides them with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to protect their communities safely and effectively.”
