North Boulevard & Indian Mound beaches closed
Aug 13, 2010
Beach water samples were analyzed for water quality on August 11. The Barnstable County Laboratory has notified the Wareham Board of Health that North Boulevard Beach and Indian Mound Beach have tested beyond the allowable tolerances for coliform bacteria levels.
Swimming at either beach could pose potentially serious health problems to certain segments of the general population, i.e. the very young, very old, or immune compromised.
All other beach water samples meet the bacterial standards and are acceptable for the operation of a bathing beach. All other beaches are open and safe to swim.
