OcTobeyfest to benefit Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care
OcTOBEYfest Harvesting Hope, a Tobey Hospital community event to benefit the Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care will be held on Friday, October 1 under a tent on the grounds of A.D. Makepeace's Tihonet Village in Wareham. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. and are followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $125 a person and can be purchased by calling 508-273-4362.
Guests will dance to the music of the Neal McCarthy Blues Band. The world renowned Change the World dance group will also present a special dance performance Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Southcoast Center for Cancer Care in Fairhaven.
"We're looking forward to a spectacular night - complete with a 'Moments in Time' silent auction, a community giving tree to support specific needs of the Center, a wonderful celebration of the local harvest (both land and sea) and a show stopping dance number," said Clare Healey, Chief Philanthropy Officer for Tobey Hospital.
