A one-car accident on Main Street downed a telephone pole and cable wire, leading police to block the road off from Gibbs Avenue to the Tremont Rehabilitation and Care Center.

The Wareham Police Department, the Wareham Fire Department, Wareham EMS, and NSTAR were at the scene of the accident.

Two women were transported to Tobey Hospital. According to police, the driver was treated at the scene for neck and back injuries, as well as facial lacerations.

Police at the scene said the injuries were "not critical."
