The Onset Bay Association got back into the swing of things on Saturday, June 16, hosting its "Onset Open" golf tournament and fundraiser at Little Harbor Country Club after a several-year hiatus.

Thirty-two golfers showed up to Saturday's fundraiser, which featured door prizes, lunch, and a 50/50 raffle.

The money raised goes to supporting the community events sponsored by the Onset Bay Association, said Onset Bay Association President Eleanor Martin.

"It's an excuse to golf that helps," said volunteer and participant Jeanne Stone from Plymouth, who works at Ocean Graphics Printing and Design in East Wareham.

"And the location is wonderful," said Diane Payson, a Falmouth resident who also volunteered.

It doesn't look like the tournament will be going away again any time soon. Martin said she has already started preparing for another one in the fall.
