A new beach library for toys is coming to Onset Beach.

Similar to a little free library for books, this box will have various toy options for children to borrow when playing at the beach.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place Wednesday, July 12 at 5 p.m. A light reception will follow in McFadden Hall.

Dianne Enzian, owner of Dianne’s Art Farm, and Jody Gauthier, a retired carpenter, were inspired by a story of a 14-year-old girl who created a beach library in Rhode Island.

The two worked together to design and build one for the Wareham community.

Gauthier used reclaimed wood to create the box and Enzian painted the box with a beach theme.
