The annual Onset Illumination is set for Aug. 27 around Onset Bay.

Dark, red flares will be placed along the perimeter of all of Onset Beach by volunteers, which will illuminate the Bay at 9 p.m. with a red glow that lasts approximately 30 minutes.

The Dixieland Jazz Band will be playing at the gazebo from 9 to 10 p.m.

New this year, a fire dancer will perform on the beach using luminous hoops of various sizes and colors.
