The Onset Water Commissioners will host an open house for residents of the Onset Fire District to view the district's recently-completed well, "Well #7."

The open house will take place on Saturday, May 5, from 1 to 3 p.m. Water Superintendent Paul Bokoski will be on-hand to answer questions regarding the well’s operation.

The planning, approval, construction, and completion of Well #7 has been a nearly nine-year process.

The new well "will give the Onset Water Department an additional source to provide our customers the best drinking water available," the Commissioners wrote in a press release.

Light refreshments will be served. Parking is available at the Onset Water Department building, 15 Sand Pond Road, located behind the Salvation Army Thrift Store, beside Baynes Electric Supply Company. Well #7 is a half-mile walk from the street.
