Just before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, there was an oven explosion at Chatham Village Foods at 15 Kendrick Road.

The explosion caused heavy damage to the facility, and injured one of the 20 people in the building at the time.

Two fire engines and one ladder truck responded from Wareham Fire District.

The explosion was determined to be accidental.
