Over $250,000 in scholarships awarded to Wareham High grads

Last Thursday night was Senior Awards Night at Wareham High School, which saw several awards handed out as well as $253,300 in scholarships donated to many of the school’s graduating seniors.

“We’re very grateful to all the various committees and the various donors as they support our students,” said Superintendent Kimberly-Shaver Hood. “It’s incredible. We’re so lucky.”

Several students were awarded multiple scholarships, with some students receiving more than $30,000 individually to put towards their college careers.

Notable recipients include:

  • Sidney Andrade, who received three scholarships totaling $13,500.
  • Emily Bacchiocchi, who received twelve scholarships totaling $32,550.
  • Christina Ball, who was awarded the Stephen A. Stone Scholarship for $32,000.
  • Cameron Bancroft, four scholarships for $9,850.
  • Owen Braley, who received $13,725 from a total of six scholarships.
  • John Brand IV, $3,000 for six scholarships.
  • Charlemya Erasme, who received $14,850 from three scholarships.
  • Amber Filkins, who was awarded 15 scholarships for $11,600 total.
  • John Brand, who got $3,000 from six scholarships.
  • Hannah Hayward, who received $9,600 from three scholarships.
  • Elizabeth Lindquist, $9,900 for eight scholarships.
  • Nicole Nault, who received $14,675 from three scholarships.
  • Brittney St. Germaine, $15,200 from five scholarships.
  • Maddison Stahmer, who received $6,275 from six scholarships.
  • Hope Wallace, who received $16,200 from two scholarships.
  • Emma Wynne, who got $18,650 for five scholarships.

Other recipients included Jordan Andrews, Tyler Augustson, Caitlyn Berger, Jayda Bethoney-Rose, Michaela Bottino, Tyrone Cabral, Emily Cummings, Carlos DaCosta, Joshua Dix, Sarah Gillette, Cody Goodwin-Gilson, John Irving, Nathaniel King, Kamri Lopes, Jamie McCann, Gina Mendes, Danielle Miceli, Kristin Monty, Breanna Muir, Kyra Odabashian, Tanner Ponte, Zachary Sass, Meghan Silvia, Jarrett Speroni, Samantha Toal, and Mason Vasconcellos.

Jacob Savoie received the Guidance Award, John Brand IV received the Assistant Principal's Award, Nicole Nault got the Principal's Award, and Joshua Dix the Superintendent's Award.
