Palladino named next high school principal
Scott Palladino, current principal of the Wareham Cooperative Junior Senior High School, will take over as Wareham High School principal on July 1, Superintendent Barry Rabinovitch announced.
"I have great expectations for Mr. Palladino," Rabinovitch wrote in a May 25 press release. "He is an administrator who will strive to do the best for the students of Wareham High School."
Palladino started his career in Wareham in 1994, teaching health at the high school. He has held several administrative roles since then including Site Director for Adult Education and Elementary Summer School Director. He was appointed assistant principal at the high school in 2006 and principal of the cooperative school in 2009, Rabinovitch wrote.
Palladino said he didn't think he'd be leaving the cooperative school so soon, but he has always wanted to become the high school principal and decided to apply when current principal Patrick Clark, a Barnstable resident, announced in March that he'd accepted a position with Barnstable Public Schools.
"It's been a long-term goal of mine to be a principal, and I've been here 16-and-a-half years and certainly was hoping it would pan out to be the Wareham High School principal," Palladino said. "I'm very excited."
Palladino holds a master's degree in Administration from Cambridge College, a certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Bridgewater State College, and is a Massachusetts certified principal/assistant principal. He is currently enrolled in a doctorate program in Educational Leadership at the University of Phoenix.
