The Cancer Crusaders, a three-person team of Wareham residents participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge, will be holding a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, June 9 at the Wankinquoah Rod & Gun Club, 92 Pine Street in Middleboro, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Eric Wade, Nicole Stahmer, and Ken Destrempt will ride the 192 miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown on August 3 and 4, and hope to raise a total of $15,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

“I started riding 5 years ago for the 35th PMC because my mother, Carmen Wade, and nephew, Cody Stahmer, are cancer survivors thanks to Dana-Faber research,” said Wade. “This year, I am riding for my friends Patti Tessitore and Shelly Reardon who are fighting the disease and winning. This is my small way of thanking Dane-Faber for helping my family and friends. It is a great cause and every dollar raised goes directly to helping find cures for this disease.”

Those interested in donating who are unable to attend the breakfast can do so by searching for individual rider’s profiles on profile.pmc.org.
