Paperback Comedians to hold last show Dec. 1
The Paperback Comedians’ Showcase will run its last comedy show of the year on Dec. 1 at Buzzards Play Productions.
The showcase is a spin-off of Buzzards Play Productions' open mic nights hosted by A. J. Hapenny, who will also be MC at the showcase.
Justin Hoff will be headlining. Hoff works on both the East and West Coasts. He has performed at Gotham Comedy Live in New York City, and just took part in the Boston Comedy Festival, which ran from Nov. 6 – Nov. 14 at the Davis Square Theater in Somerville. He has opened for actor/comic Gilbert Gottfried, and recently did a set at the world famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles alongside Joe Rogan.
Thee Midnight Society, a local top 40’s group, has lent its lead singer, Jess Smart, to be the featured musical guest for the evening. Other performers include Todd Clay, Liam McGurk, John Susich, Pheobe Angle and Ryan Chani.
The theatre is located at 3065 Cranberry Highway. Doors open at 7, and the show is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door, and $6 if bought online at www.brownpapertickets.com/events.
