Pauline B. (Martin) Fontes, 77, of Onset, died July 3, 2011 at Oak Hill in Middleboro while surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of the late Antone “Bobby” Fontes and the daughter of the late Antone and Minnie (Perry) Martin.

She was born in Wareham and lived in Onset for most of her life.

Mrs. Fontes worked as a Floor Manager at Barnwell Sportswear in Sagamore for many years. She also worked for Ocean Spray Cranberry Company.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and bowling.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia A. Silva of Carver; her son, Kenneth W. Fontes of Onset; 6 sisters, Delores Sequeira of Marion, Joyce Evora of Onset, Beverly Bingham of Mashpee, Barbara Monteiro of Falmouth, Lorraine Andrade of Fort Washington, MD and Sheila Fortes of Sagamore Beach; 3 brothers, Earnest Martin of Antelope, CA, Anthony Martin of Norwich, CT and Joey Martin of Sagamore; 3 grandchildren, Jordan Fontes, Kiana Fontes and Hailey Silva; her sister-in-law, Julia Lopes and her husband Joe of TX; several nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald Martin.

Her funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 7 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Onset. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
