The Onset Box 5 Association is calling all swimmers and sponsors to its annual Polar Bear Dive to take place on New Year's Day, Jan. 1. 2015, at the Onset Pier.

Registration for the event begins at 11 a.m. and the brave participants will take the plunge at noon.

Each participant planning on diving into the icy waters of Onset Bay adjacent to the town pier is required to make a $10 donation to participate.

For those who prefer not to take the plunge, T-shirt sponsorships are available until Dec. 16, 2014. Participants and onlookers can buy T-shirts for $10.
