May 17, 2017

A car reported stolen in Taunton led to the arrest of a Wareham man who police said was in possession of 20 grams of cocaine worth $2,000 and $1,163 cash.

Tyrone Lindsay, 35, was arrested on May 16 charged with trafficking in cocaine, receiving stolen property (motor vehicle) and malicious damage to a motor vehicle (evidence of slashed/punctured tires).

Police said at approximately 5 p.m. that day Detective Dean Decas reported receiving a LoJack signal that indicated a stolen car was in the vicinity. Police tracked the signal to a garage at 2591 Cranberry Highway where the car, a 2009 Infinity sedan, and Lindsay were found. Police said the car was reported stolen earlier that day.

Lindsay was scheduled to be arraigned in Wareham District Court on May 17.
