Police identify Mashpee motorcyclist injured in East Wareham accident
A motorcyclist was airlifted to a Boston hospital after an accident involving another vehicle in the area of 3126 Cranberry Highway in East Wareham on Thursday, May 2.
Police responded to the accident at approximately11:30 a.m.
Wareham Police Lt. Kevin Walsh said the motorcyclist, identified as 39-year-old Joshua Dulong of Mashpee, suffered a head injury after hitting the back of a vehicle that was stopped to make a turn.
There were no other injuries in the accident, Walsh said.
A Boston MedFlight helicopter arrived in less than a half hour, and landed in a dirt area adjacent to Red Brook Road, not far from where the accident occurred.
Wareham EMS transported the man via ambulance to the waiting helicopter. Onset Fire also assisted at the scene.
