Wareham Police reported two recent arrests after unruly incidents.

On Saturday, Jan. 2, police responded to a restaurant for a disturbance just before 6 p.m. Police found a man allegedly yelling at an employee. The officers offered to give the man, Peter Ullman, 40, a ride home.

Ullman allegedly spat at one of the officers. Ullman was arrested for one count of assault and battery on a police officer.

Late on Sunday night, police responded to Fearing Hill Road where a woman was playing music loudly in her car. After being asked to turn the music down, the woman complied.
At 12:30 a.m., police received a second complaint about the woman. The officer asked the woman, Heather Whitely, 37, to turn off her car and go in the house.

Whitely allegedly refused and began to scuffle when police attempted to put her under arrest.

Police say Whitely “refused to be placed into a cruiser and was very belligerent.” An officer left the scene and returned with a prisoner transport van. Police say the three officers “officers had to physically lift and place her in the van because of her refusal to cooperate.” No injuries were reported.
