Police seek public’s help in vandalism case

May 21, 2019

Wareham Police are investigating multiple acts of vandalism which occurred early Monday morning — and are asking for the public’s help in solving the case.

Beginning at 3:55 a.m., there were reports of vandalism to vehicles on Plymouth Avenue, the Shangri-La area, Cranberry Highway between Santos Drive and Perry’s Ice Cream, and in the Lakeside Trailer Park area. It appears that at each location a bat or other blunt object was used to smash windows and other parts of vehicles.

The Wareham Police urge anyone with information into these crimes to contact the police station at (508) 295-1212 or the “Anonymous tip” line at (508) 291-2300.  A tip can also be reported to “Text-a-Tip” by texting 274637 on your cell phone, start with the text, “warehampd” then your message.

As a reminder, in an emergency or situation requiring an immediate police response should not be texted.
