Powerful wind knocks down a restaurant sign

Nov 1, 2019

A sign was blown off the “Barnacle Bill’s Seafood” restaurant’s facade as a result of 50-mph winds overnight.

The sign fell at around 4 a.m. on the night of Oct. 31, according to one of the restaurant owners, Jennifer Mattos. No one was injured.

Located on Cranberry Highway in Wareham, the restaurant did not sustain any financial or physical damage and the sign was put back in place later that day. The restaurant is currently operating under normal working hours.
