Priscilla F. Brooks, 97, of Chelmsford formerly of Wareham, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Sunny Acres Legacy Care in Chelmsford. She was the wife of the late Lawrence W. Brooks. They married on September 30, 1950.

Born in Boston on July 31, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Laura (Plummer) and George P. Forde. She was a longtime resident of Wareham.

Mrs. Brooks graduated from the University of Maine and worked as an occupational therapist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

She was instrumental in the formation of the United States Merchant Marines Veterans Association and enjoyed travelling to their annual conventions.

Survivors include her son, Roger P. Brooks and his wife Maureen; her daughter in-law, Rosemarie A. Brooks; six grandchildren, Meghan E. Brooks, Matthew E. Brooks, Christopher W. Brooks, Patrick L. Brooks and significant other Alyssa, Shawn M. Brooks & his wife Samantha, Kaitalyn Brown & her husband Joseph; three great grandchildren, Brighton Brooks, Nevaeh Brown, Tessa Brooks. She was predeceased by her son, the late Wayne C. Brooks.

Funeral services and burial at Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne will be private.
