Recent arrests: Assault with a bottle, OUI

Wareham Police made several arrests over the weekend for offenses including operating under the influence and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Officers arrested Lisa Silva, 36, of East Wareham, around 10 p.m. on Friday, July 24, for operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Silva was reportedly seen operating a vehicle erratically and appeared to be impaired. According to police, she resisted arrest and was uncooperative during the booking process at the police station.

At about 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, police arrested Nicole Lach, 33, of Bourne, after she allegedly hit a man in the head with a bottle in Onset. 

Lach is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The man was taken to Tobey Hospital to be treated after the incident. 

Police also arrested two men on active warrants over the course of the weekend. One of the men now faces additional charges for vandalism, as police say he damaged jail cells while being held. 

A 28-year-old Onset man was also arrested late on Saturday night for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

According to police, other arrests were made over the weekend, but they are shielded from public disclosure based on state laws.
