Riders went full throttle for charity
The streets were filled with motorcycle riders and the sounds of revving engines for Damien's Food Pantry.
The first-ever motorcycle charity ride, Full Throttle for Food, was held Sunday, Oct. 19 and saw 93 motorcycles cruise by for what organizers hope to become an annual tradition.
Participants departed from Damien’s Food Pantry and embarked on a 45-mile route, concluding at Redmen Hall. Upon arrival, riders were greeted with food and prizes.
“We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support,” said Rachel Resendes, Executive Director, of Damien’s Food Pantry. “The turnout exceeded expectations, and the enthusiasm from both riders and sponsors reinforces our shared commitment to helping our neighbors in need.”
Proceeds from the event went toward the pantry to help those with food insecurity.
