James "Jimmy" Diede

James "Jimmy" Diede passed away on October 18, 2025, peacefully at his home after a long battle with Mesothelioma Cancer with family and friends surrounding him with prayers and love.  He was the son of the late John and Marie Diede.  He left behind his loving wife Jessie and their boys James, Zachary, Joshua, Tyler and Ryan.

He was born in Attleboro, MA, lived in Plainville for most of his life, graduated from King Philip High School Class of 1977 and moved to Buzzards Bay in the early 1980's. 

Jimmy accomplished to own two businesses in town D&D Oil and DRT Heating & Air Conditioning which through his mentorship he shaped many futures, built confidence and created a legacy for everyone he touched.  Jimmy was proud to be a member of the American Legion #273 and the Wareham Elks Post #73 and a long-time original member of Pocasset Golf Club. 

Survivors include his soulmate Jeanne "Jessie" Diede of Buzzards Bay; Children Jimmy and Lyz Diede of Wareham, Zachary and Stephanie Diede of Buzzards Bay, Joshua Diede and Lauren McCarthy of Onset, Tyler Doughty , Ryan Doughty and Heather Fontaine of Norton and sixth son Jimmy Mac of Wareham., his 10 grandchildren; Meadow, Justin, Lexi, Madden, Makenna, Cameron, Skyler, James Austin, Emma, and Lily. Along with his siblings, Patti and Harry Darling, Jack and Kim Diede, Janice Johnston, Annmarie Diede, and many nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was predeceased by his siblings Harry, Carolann and Carlene Diede.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation which will be held 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA. and a Funeral Mass  on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church 141 Main Street Buzzards Bay, MA.
