Robert (Bob) Carter, 86, of Onset passed peacefully on December 16th in Fredericksburg, VA, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Rosemary of Onset, and children Robert of Lebanon, NH; Christopher (Petra) of Berlin, Germany; Jonathan (Susan) of Fredericksburg, VA; Jenifer Carr (Josh) of Marina, CA; and Andrew (Jenny) of Phoenix, AZ; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Originally from Peabody, MA, Bob was a veteran of both the Korean War and the Peace Corps. A professor of special education and teacher training, “Dr. Bob” taught at George Washington University, UNC-Charlotte, Castleton State, and The Citadel.
