Select Board votes to sunset golf advisory committee

The Select Board voted unanimously Tuesday, Nov. 3 to dissolve the Little Harbor Golf Course Advisory Committee, effective Dec. 31.

The committee was established in March 2022 to assist with the transition of Little Harbor Country Club from private ownership to a town-owned facility.

The board determined that the committee had fulfilled its original purpose and questioned the need for its continued existence.

Concerns were also raised about the committee's limited meeting activity and compliance with Open Meeting Law when it came to posting agendas and meeting minutes.

The committee was originally intended to be temporary but its terms had been extended.
