Robert T. Joy, 81, of East Wareham passed away at home on Aug. 13. Robert was the loving husband of the late Alberta C. (Concaugh) Joy who passed away in 2011.

He was born in Framingham the son of the late Stephen P. and Carrie (Iarussi) Joy Sr. He attended Framingham Public Schools and worked for many years as an electronic technician for the United States government in Newport, Rhode Island and the Atlantic Instruments Company. He was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran and late member of the Korean War Veterans Association, Chapter 299 Korean Veterans of America, the Knights of Columbus and the Wareham Democratic Town Committee.

He is survived by his brother Stephen P. Joy Jr. of Framingham and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was the brother of the late James F. Joy.

Visiting hours were held on Aug. 17 in the Wareham Village Home 5 Center St. His funeral will be held from the Wareham Village Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug.18 at 9:15 a.m. followed funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Patrick’s Church, located at 82 High St. Wareham.
