WAREHAM – Roseann (Cardalino) Florentino, 80, of Wareham passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023. She was the wife of Robert G. Florentino and the daughter of the late Paul J. and Theresa H. (Elio) Cardalino.

She was born on November 13, 1942 in Boston, MA. She was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School in 1960.  In 1972, she moved to Wareham to raise her family.  

Roseann enjoyed shopping and cooking, especially making Sunday dinner for her family.

Since childhood, Roseann loved spending her summers at Swift’s Beach with family and friends.  Her favorite times were spent with her granddaughters who she loved and adored.

Roseann worked for New England Telephone, Plymouth Savings Bank, Wheelock Industry, and retired from Marian Heath.

Roseann was a very giving person who always took care of other people’s needs before her own. A special thank you to the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Wareham for taking such good care of our mother.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert G. Florentino; her daughters, Karen Dobbins and her husband, Andrew of Wareham and Gina Valatkevicz and her husband Richard Valatkevicz, Jr. of West Wareham; 2 granddaughters, Kaitlin Dobbins of West Wareham and her fiance, Thomas M. McMullen, III and Isabella Valatkevicz of West Wareham; a brother, Paul J. Cardalino, Jr. of Plymouth; many nephews and nieces.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

Her funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 94 High St., Wareham.
