Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) Implementation Team
The CPOE Implementation Team is responsible for creating a computer system that allows physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other health care practitioners to enter their own orders directly into the electronic medical record of each patient. The system streamlines operations, resulting in decreased medical errors, improved patient safety and increased regulatory compliance. The multi-disciplinary team has been working on the project since 2010 and has implemented the system at all three Southcoast hospital sites.
The CPOE Implementation Team is comprised of West Wareham’s Lisa Rizza.
