Ruth L. (Monosson) Davidson, 85, of Wareham, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion. She was the wife of the late Leon Davidson.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Isadore & Anna (Reiser) Monosson. A summer resident of Wareham, she moved there year round in 1947. She was a member of Eastern Star and the former Monday Club in Wareham. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Davidson and his wife Denise of Wareham and Irwin “Butch” Davidson of Marietta, GA; two sisters, Marlene DeCoster of Onset and June Cohen of Harwich; her grandchildren, Beth Hemenway and Michael, Craig, Jared, Ryan and Matthew Davidson; her great grandchildren, Evan, Cole and Dominic; her aunt, Martha Lipofsky and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, the late Gerald Monosson and her sister, the late Rosalyn Monosson.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 12 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. Relatives and friends may visit on Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. prior to the service.
