School music programs play host to series of summer events
Several events will take place in the upcoming months involving many of the music programs at Wareham Public Schools.
The first is the Solo and Small Ensemble Concert, where students will perform solos, duets, and small ensemble works from a variety of musical genres. This will be held on June 10 at 7 p.m. in the Wareham High School Auditorium. Admission is free.
On June 16th, Wareham Public Schools will host their First Annual Band Day. Students from all grade levels will come together to perform in concert after a full day of rehearsal. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Wareham Middle School Auditorium. Admission is free.
On June 17th, the Wareham High School Marching Unit will partner with the Wareham Gatemen baseball team. The marching unit will perform the National Anthem at the start of the game. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
Finally, as town of Wareham will be celebrates its 275th anniversary, there will be a grand parade to celebrate the occasion on July 12. The Wareham High School Marching Unit would like to invite any alumni or Wareham residents to join them in participating in the parade. All instrumentalists and colorguard members are welcome.
