Scott F. Bailey, 51

Scott F. Bailey, 51, of Clearwater Beach, FL, and Onset, MA passed away on June 23 in the arms of his family, after a long illness.

Scott was born to William and Donna Bailey in Weymouth, MA. He grew up in Duxbury and Hyannis, MA, before relocating to Shirley and graduating from Ayer High School in 1981. Scott majored in business at Mount Wachusett and Fitchburg State College, and served six years as a member of the Massachusetts National Guard. Scott relocated to Charlestown and later Clearwater Beach, FL while pursuing a successful career in sales.

As a youth, Scott excelled at skiing and hockey, representing Duxbury in the Bruins' "Mini One On One," and later tennis as the MVP of Ayer High School's tennis team. As an adult, Scott was active and fun-loving, enjoyed boating and golfing, hitting a hole-in-one on his 41st birthday, and was known for his generous heart and warm smile.

Scott is survived by his loving parents Donna Bailey of Onset, MA, Bill Bailey of Morgan, VT, his stepmother, Darlene Bailey, his two sisters and their husbands, Dawn and Bob Black of Sandwich, Susan and Bruce Sullivan of N. Leominster, and his beloved nieces and nephews Rory, Lyndsay, Allison, Nick, Sean, his great nephews Robbie and Brody, and his grandmother, Gertrude Prouty of Cotuit, MA.
