Sunapee, NH - Scott Michael Reed died peacefully after a long struggle in UMass Memorial Hospital on May 1st, 2023 in Worcester, MA at the age of 57. He was born on November 11, 1965 in Wareham, MA and graduated from WPI in 1988 with a degree in Mathematics. He and his wife, Jennifer, were married in 1988 and enjoyed a wonderful 34 years together. During his corporate career, he was an IT executive at The Hartford, MassMutual, and AIG. In 2015, he and Jennifer purchased the Inn at Pleasant Lake in New London, NH and began their new life as innkeepers. In 2020, they purchased the New London Inn. Scott was passionate about the local community and was involved on several boards. He was also a strong supporter of the Center for the Arts and the New Hampshire Food Bank. Scott had a variety of passions and had many skills, but his biggest passion was always his family. His children remember him as a father who went above and beyond and always motivated them to achieve their dreams. 

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and his two children, William and Abigail. He is also survived by his mother, Joyce Reed, his brother, Jeffrey, and his sister, Jennifer, as well as many nieces and nephews. Though he was taken too soon, Scott lived a full and adventurous life. He traveled the world, inspired those around him, and loved fully and completely.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 5th, from 1pm-3pm at the Historic Barn at the Inn at Pleasant lake in New London, NH.
