Scott Record to perform at Elks Lodge
One of Wareham's brightest stars, entertainer Scott Record, will be putting on a music and comedy performance at the Wareham/New Bedford Elks Lodge at the end of August.
Record will be performing with a nine-piece band mostly comprised of teachers from the Berklee College of Music on Aug. 29. Boston comedian Joe Yannetty will also be guest starring at the event.
The show is open to the public and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the non-profit www.HopefortheWarriors.org, an organization where 100 percent of donations goes to helping our wounded veterans.
Record recently finished two successful weeks of headlining solo shows at Harrah’s in Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas. Over the years, Record has shared the stage with Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Ann Margret, Perry Como, Rodney Dangerfield and many other stars. Recently he has performed with Harry Connick Jr, Arturo Sandoval, and Steve Tyrell.
Record has been the host and MC of Wareham Community TV A & E Auctions that raise money for local non-profits.
Yannetty has been seen in many TV shows on Comedy Central, HBO, and many local Boston shows.
The show begins at 8 p.m. on Aug. 29. For more information and ticket information, call 774-408-0668 from Wednesday through Sunday.
