The Scotty Monteiro Jr. Foundation will host a family fun day and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Scotty Monteiro Jr. Basketball Court on Saturday, July 30, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The event will be held at the Hammond Playground in Onset, located off Union St. 

The celebration will include food trucks, vendors, face painting, tie dye (BYO shirt or purchase one), a three-point contest and tennis and pickleball games. 

There will also be a basketball game on the Scotty court at 1 p.m. Wareham basketball alums of any gender welcome.
