Patrick Tropeano, a long-time Select Board member currently serving his third term on the board, announced at a Dec. 7 meeting that he will not be running for reelection in the spring.

“I want everybody to know this will be my last year as Selectmen,” Tropeano said. “I greatly appreciated being here. I’ve had a lot of fun dealing with all the issues and being part of the town.”

He said he’s “a dinosaur now compared to things going on,” and it’s time for him to move on — but said he’ll have a lot to say before his term ends.

“All you folks who want to run should get ready,” Tropeano said. 

He has also served on many other boards and committees in town, including the Finance Committee, the Middle School Building Committee, the Sewer Facility Upgrade Committee, and others.
