Here are the results of the semi-final games of the Wareham JBA playoffs.

 

Tuesday March 20th, 2012

Division 2 Boys Semi-Final #1

Cotter Machine Company Tar Heels, 30; CDD Construction Friars, 29 (OT)

In an electrifying overtime thriller, Jamual Sims hit a game winning three pointer to send the Tar Heels to the Division 2 Boys championship game. Sims finished with a game high 22 points. Marcus Monteiro scored 4 points while both Matthew Pearle and John Spinner hit for 2 points.

James Tobey's only basket of the game for the Friars was a three pointer that sent the game to overtime. Damien Perry had a team high 20 points in the game. David Doucette, Cameron Bariteau and Joshua Nawoichik scored 2 points apiece.

Division 2 Boys Semi-Finals #2

Oak Grove Package Eagles, 51; O. G. Tire Shop Hoyas, 44

The Cinderella playoff performance of the Eagles continued as they upset the top seeded Hoyas and grabbed the second slot in the Division 2 Boys championship game. The duo of Elijah McAllister (22 points) and Sonny Fernandes (16 points) paced the offensive attack for the Eagles. Courtney Depina and Xavier Hall scored 4 points apiece. Jacob Asiaf had 3 points and Anthony Childs chipped in with 2 points.

The Hoyas season came to an end despite a game high 25 points from Jovahn Thomas. Justin Lopes scored 9 points and Kyle White had 7 points. Jose Lopez hit a three pointer.

 

Wednesday March 21st, 2012

Division 1 Boys semi-final #1

J & M Realty Bucks, 56; C. M. Dunfee & Sons Cavs, 47 (OT)

The Cavs' Durell Barros hit a buzzer beating three pointer to send the game into overtime but it was the Bucks who were lights out in the OT and advanced to the Division 1 Boys championship game.

Tanner Cannon scored 16 points to lead the Bucks and Mark Zaknoun had 12 points. Austin Stahmer and Nick Galavotti each finished with 10 points. Mason Lopes had 8 points.

Barros finished with a game high 28 points for the Cavs. Michael McAllister scored 9 points and Kyle Johnson hit for 6 points. Nick Silvia and Curtis Merritt chipped in with 2 points apiece.

Divison 1 Boys Semi-Final #2

Wareham House of Pizza, Bulls; 44 Pier View Restaurant Nets, 38

The Bulls trailed by 7 points early in the 2nd half but mounted a comeback and took control of the game behind 20 points from Jahmal Silva and 17 points from Alex Rezendes. Geoff Cardoza scored 5 points while both Andrew Gomes and Harold Schwarz hit a foul shot.

Jamiell Martin scored 21 points to lead the Nets. The quartet of Marque Silva, Chris Perry, Joe Fisher and Ashantay Tavares scored 4 points apiece. Dylan Giblin added a foul shot.

4:00 p.m. - Division 1 Boys - (3) Bucks at (1) Bulls
