Wednesday was a busy day for Wareham Police, who arrested five people in four separate, unrelated shoplifting incidents on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Police said two men were arrested for stealing cell phones from the Wareham Crossing Target Wednesday evening.

Ruben Warenycia, 35, and Elisio Ramirez, 20, both of New Bedford, and a woman, stole cell phones from Target at around 9:15 p.m. and then left in a car, according to police.

Within a few minutes of responding to the call, officers found the car, two cell phones that were identified as stolen from Target, the two men and a 16-year-old boy also from New Bedford. Police said the 16-year-old did not actively participate in the shoplifting.

Warenycia and Ramirez were both charged with shoplifting. Warenycia had four outstanding arrest warrants for various criminal charges. Ramirez, who was driving the car, was also charged with operating a vehicle without a license, according to police.

A 47-year-old woman from Plymouth was arrested for shoplifting at Target earlier that day, according to Wareham Police.

Police said Sandra Fuller, of Plymouth, was arrested at 6 p.m. Wednesday for shoplifting over $350 worth of merchandise after she was confronted by WPD officers in the store.

An unnamed woman was charged with shoplifting motor oil at Cumberland Farms on Depot Street in East Wareham last Wednesday. Police said the woman will be named at a later date due the fact she was identified and will be summoned to court.

Wareham Police also arrested Antonio Knight, 45, in another unrelated incident on Wednesday. Police said Knight was in possession of a stolen motorized shopping cart in the East Wareham Walmart parking lot, and was criminally charged.
