Sidney C. Reid, 62, of Wareham, died April 5, in Kindred Transitional Care at Forestview. He was the husband of 39 years of Eva M. (Wagenblast) Reid and the son of the late Clark S. and Colleen R. (Studley) Reid.

He was born in Wareham and lived in Germany then in Illinois and California before returning to Wareham. He graduated from New Bedford Vocational High School.

Mr. Reid was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Reid was a computer technician at World Wide Tech Services in Tewksbury. He also worked for The A.D. Makepeace Co.

He was the vice president of Wareham Youth Soccer and he coached Tots, Tops, and Travel teams for Wareham Youth Soccer.

Survivors include his widow, Eva M. (Wagenblast) Reid; a son, Christopher S. Reid of Wareham; a daughter, Felicia J. Reid of Lebanon, N.H.; 3 brothers, Harry, Glenn, and John Reid all of Wareham; a sister, Paula Reid of Wareham; many nephews and nieces.

His funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to Wareham Youth Soccer, Attn: Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 764, Wareham, MA 02571.
