Wareham Land Trust Executive Director Elise Leduc-Fleming will take hikers on a trip through the world of insects at Agawam River Trail, 12 Knowles Ave., on Monday, August 14 at 10 a.m.
A diverse range of insects, including beetles, aphids and moths, call Wareham home. Leduc-Fleming will explain how insect diversity is crucial to the survival of nature as a whole.
This program, co-sponsored by the Wareham Free Library, is part of Crawling with Fun, the Wareham Land Trust’s summer series of insect-themed events.
The walk is free for Wareham Land Trust members and $5 for nonmembers. Attendees can pay at the event with cash or check. Hikers are expected to bring snacks, water, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.
