Ready, set, sleep! Mattress store Sleepy's opened its newest location in East Wareham on Tuesday.

Construction crews were hard at work Monday afternoon putting the final touches on a new Sleepy's Mattress Store.

"It comes together pretty quick," explained John Richardson, the Regional Manager of Sleepy's.

In less than a week, workers have renovated the former Fashion Bug in Cranberry Plaza into a fully stocked store with a wide variety of mattresses, bed frames, and box springs.

The next closest location is 19 miles away, according to Richardson, making the Wareham store a "natural fit" for the company's expansion.

"Sleepy's has expanded more than any other retailer in the Northeast in the past year," he noted.

And with expansion comes job opportunities. The store has already made one local hire, but "we are always looking for people," Richardson added.
