South Easton man arrested following incident with pellet gun
Wareham Police arrested a South Easton man on Sunday, December 18 after he allegedly pointed a pellet gun at a man during a fight at the Sunoco gas station on Cranberry Highway in East Wareham.
The fight, which broke out in the gas station's parking lot around 1:30 p.m., was about "a past business transaction where money was owed," according to Wareham Police.
During the fight, David Daggett, 25, of Norton Avenue in South Easton allegedly pointed a handgun at another male before leaving the scene in a vehicle, police said. The gun, which Daggett left at the scene, was later determined to be a pellet gun.
Wareham Police located Daggett's vehicle minutes later on Sandwich Road, police said. Daggett was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
Daggett posted bail on Sunday afternoon and was released from custody, according to Wareham Police. He was arraigned on December 19 in Wareham District Court.
