They’re cleaning up Onset, one sidewalk at a time.

Linda Gay and Kathy Judd, both members of the Onset Bay Association Beautification Committee, swept sand from the Stonebridge sidewalks Monday afternoon.

The Beautification Committee has been cleaning up and planting flowers throughout Onset for the past 20 years. Some of the planter locations include Dummy Bridge, Stonebridge, Onset Avenue and Standpipe Hill.

Gay and Judd were sweeping for more than three hours Monday morning into the afternoon.

“We’re getting it off the sidewalk so that the street sweeper can pick it up,” Gay said.

Judd said the committee is getting ready for Memorial Day and will be planting flowers throughout Onset in the coming days and weeks.
