Students inducted into National Honor Society
Eleven Wareham High School students were inducted into the Ruth Tompkins chapter of the National Honor Society on February 3.
National Honor Society students must display outstanding leadership, character, scholarship, and service, according to Wareham High School principal Scott Palladino. All inductees underwent an evaluation by a faculty member and were found to be excellent candidates for Honor Society membership.
Current Honor Society officers spoke at the event and swore in the newest members, and Palladino and National Honor Society adviser Christine Cinelli were on-hand to congradulate the students and present them with membership cards.
As Honor Society members, the inductees will have to be strong leaders in their school community and the community at-large, maintain a grade point average of 90 or above, and complete four hours of community service in the Wareham community per month.
